The Nation of Free Men is a growing, militaristic nation located in the Demilitarized Zone, a large stretch of space that connects the borders of the Intersystem Alliance, People’s Coalition, and Veridian Stratocracy. Its founder, renowned biomancer Kra’vos “Striker” Reeves, established the nation in 3390 with the help of dissenters, prisoners, and former inhabitants of worlds that rebelled from People’s Coalition control. At its conception, the geographic location of the Nation of Free Men and the military reality of the small nation’s circumstances prompted an approach to governance and conflict akin to 17th century Earth piracy; even going so far as to adopt (with major alterations) the Articles of Edward Low and George Lowther in components of the Articles of the Free Men, the founding document of law in the nation. Although the Articles are no longer officiated today, they served as the foundation for the self-sufficient and fairness oriented peoples that make up the nation.
The Nation of Free Men originally focused solely on raiding and capturing civilian cargo transports as a primary means of economic growth. However, the nation’s growth came with a booming agricultural sector thanks to the occupation of the Liber Sphere, bearing nearly a dozen planets suitable for agricultural development. Even still, the Nation of Free Men frequently raids, boards, and attempts to capture cargo and non-military vessels travelling through the Wraith’s Den and Liber Sphere. Although the bordering nations have taken notice to the actions of raiders in recent years, a military escalation in the Wraith’s Den, which is considered a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between the three nations and the primary territory of the Free Men, is feared to lead to increased hostilities.
As a result of the Nation’s unique circumstance, significant military incursions by nations largely afflicted by the Free Men have yet to be undertaken. In fact, there exist rumors discussing the possibility of the Nation of Free Men being best utilized as a buffer between hostile parties. The Free Men’s orientation against the People’s Coalition have made them a suitable candidate for discrete support by elements of the Intersystem Alliance as well. At least, so say the rumors.

I’ve always been a fan. The article does need some editing to standardize it with CoM’s style and there needs to be some linking in the pages. Like to the Alliance’s, Coalition’s, and other nations pages. However, the content looks good.January 26, 2018 at 1:38 am #4244
The Star Kingdom of Persica is a constitutional monarchy with a strong executive office and bicameral legislature. It is a unitary state that is subdivided into ten duchies – though rarely referred to as such, each one an inhabited planet: Atramentar, Aesingar, Amaranth, Bridon, Cascadia, Celadon, Daxony, Nova Cambria, Orcadia, and the capital world of Persica. Persica’s current constitution, the Ravencrown Constitution, was ratified on 20 Aprilis 2953.
Planetary governments are local versions of the realm government and are subdivided into regional Baronies, comprising the vast megapolitan areas of each major city; which are further subdivided into Districts, essentially large city-sized suburbs of each megapolis. Baronies are ruled by a hereditary noble, a Baron/Baroness, and Districts are administered by a Mayor who is elected from among the populous. As a unitary state, the Crown and Government delegates areas of authority to the planets. Areas of authority are based on the divisions of responsibility between the planetary and realm governments within the Ravencrown Constitution, and each planet thus has its own representative of the Crown, the Jaerl/Jaerla, who is subordinate to the head of planetary government, the Duke/Duchess.January 26, 2018 at 1:38 am #4074
The Star Kingdom of Persica is a relatively small nation of ten populated worlds located in the eastern reaches near the Intersystem Alliance and Threshold. Persica maintains membership in the ISA-Threshold Treaty group and plays a supporting role in the conflict against the Coalition. Military spending is comparable to other larger nations by percentage and the Royal Persican Forces are fairly well-equipped. Technomancy is prevalent among the ruling noble houses; while greatly supported through government education and training, use of technomancy is strictly monitored and regulated by the Crown and government. Persica enjoys extensive trade with its neighbours, though distance provides increased shipping costs for the luxury of breathing space.
Colonised during the later years of the Deep Seed Project, the worlds of the star kingdom endured centuries of alliances and rivalries, and wars both hot and cold before being unified by Cambrius o Corvida Rex, powerful technomantic master and charismatic king of planet Persica. In 2953, the ten worlds signed and ratified the Ravencrown constitution, founding the Star Kingdom.
Persica has joined the exploratory expeditions to the Verge and is poised to play a more conspicuous role in galactic affairs, including the potential for expansion into nearby space.March 1, 2018 at 5:35 pm #4351
Overall I don’t see much to criticize in the way of content. Your nation’s government is your own. However, I would do some better use of headers to make the page cleaner to view. Minister titles could be a different color from the remainder of the text in order to make it easier to read.March 1, 2018 at 9:46 pm #4356
Can do. 🙂March 25, 2018 at 9:50 am #4488
Voting is now over, and the Government of Persica is now considered Canon. I’ll get around to marking it later when I get home from work.May 3, 2018 at 7:09 am #4764
The Hydrian Empire or the Hydrian Imperial Realm as it is formally known, is a moderate sized star nation with nineteen habitable worlds and claims to another fifty or so worlds and moons that can be made habitable. It borders the People’s Coalition and the Threshold in which it has rough relations with both star nations. It has grown close with the Intersystems Alliance and even went from a absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy just to please the Alliance. Their worlds are rich in minerals and ores that are rare in other parts of the galaxy which have helped the Empire to construct great cities and fleets to house and protect its population.

The Corporate Republic of Templeman, also known as the Republic of Templeman or simply the Templeman Republic is a small, highly industrialized, militaristic Corporate Republic consisting of twenty-star systems and corporate organizations located between the United Star Commonwealth to the galactic north-west, Bravian Commonwealth to the galactic south-west and the Kingdom of Ishara to the galactic east.
