The Lider-class Enforcer Destroyer, or Project 429501, is a new generation Elthari Union’s Navy destroyer design and a one of most advanced ship in the Elthari Navy inventory. The Lider-class will fully replace the older Belligerent-class Destroyers within the role of the Enforcer and Frontier Defence vessel.

The Lider-class is considered a heavy weight destroyer, intended to provide the independent platform for the long-term operations, capable to engage even a full cruiser without limitation of capability to providing an exceptional space and anti-missile defense for warships and transports under escort. The intelligence evaluation of the Lider-class classify this class as a specialized vessel unsuitable for the mass production, utilizing the latest generation of Elthari military technology from the VOIN Warship Development Project like a Marionetka Sensor Decoys or Rezets CIWS system.
Alone, the Liders complements the Razboy-class destroyers in the anti-piracy and enforcer operations.


The Project 429501 began in the late 2390s when it was becoming obvious in the Elthari Navy that Enforcers still had an important role particularly in support of interior security, but existing Frontier Navy light cruisers and destroyers were showing their age.
The predecessor of a Project 429501, Project 429500, was a lightweight cruiser developed within the framework of the regular modernization wave for Elthari and Frontier Navy. The P429500 design  employed a new 1000 mm Mass Driver Axial. Single and twin mounts were developed, and the twin mount chosen for its superior rate of fire. First P429500 prototype was build in the start of 2392, just a month before the Bayran Rebellion. Frontier Fleet confiscated a prototype and put him in the first assault wave within an Anti-Terror Operation against Bayran. The battle itself was a full-scale catastrophe for the Elthari Navy as the Frontier Fleet suffered a shameful defeat and lost all ships and hands within a two hours, faced the fact of their ship’s lackluster against the new generation of the Bayran Defence Force’s Cruisers. P429500 was the one-eye king between blind, but still the prototype was an illustration of insufficient armament and defense capability side-by-side the overall technological backwardness of the Elthari Navy.
The rebellion itself was defeated a two months later, as the prevalence of Frontier Fleet overwhelmed the technologically superior BDF. Project 429500 was scraped together with a lead designer and the most of flag officer cadres within Elthari Navy and Frontier Fleet in meantime, and the new Elthari Navy leadership decided to start 600 billion VOIN Warship Development Project for the full-scale modernization.

The first fruit of the project was a Project 429501 Destroyer, the P429500 successor which respond to new threat, which appeared with the Bayern Rebellion. Project 429501 was updated with new 1200 mm twin Mass Driver Axial, a new air defense suite and new, powerful anti-ship missiles. Lead ship of the class, Bratrské objetí was laid down in 2396 and commissioned in 2397. A total of 25 have been built for the Elthari Navy, but currently only 22 remain in service due to lack of funds and trained personnel. Additional 6 ships are built for Frontier Fleet and 3 are transferred from Elthari Navy to Bayran Defence Forces.
All the ships were built by Frontier Drive Yards.

These ships have a maximum displacement of 395,025 tons. The ships are 425 metres (1394 ft) in length, with a beam of 69 metres (226 ft) and a height of 78 metres (256 ft). They are armed with an eigth AF/F-35 “Seagul” Multirole Fighter, 144 anti-cruiser missiles, 936 light anti-ship missiles, long-range guns and a sophisticated electronic warfare system.

There are a total of three versions of this class: the original Project 429501 armed with the Mk.IX version of the Mishka Counter-EW Suite, and its successor, the Project 429501A, which is armed with the improved Mk. IXA version of the Mishka Counter-EW Suite and 6C80M anti-cruiser missiles with longer range. The main difference between the two is that the missile launching tubes on Project 429501A are longer than that of Project 429501 to accommodate the increased size of the newer missile, and these launching tubes can be used to fire / store the original 6C80 as well. The Elthari media called the ship “Rebellion killer”.
A third version, Project 429501EB, later modified for the Bayran Defence Forces was the latest development of this class, even the core systems are downgraded compared to Project 429501A.


Command and Control

The ship’s combat systems can use target designation data from the ship’s active and passive sensors, from other ships in the fleet, from surveillance shuttles or via a communications link from the ship’s parasite fighters. The multi-channel defense suite is capable of striking several targets simultaneously.


 Stealth technology has been widely used during shipbuilding, with extensive use of composite materials to reduce radar return, along with a passive cool air induction that reduces infrared signature. Newest physical field reduction solutions were applied too.
As a result, designers considerably reduced the ship’s lidar signature thanks to the hull architecture and fire-resistant radar-absorbent fiberglass applied in tophamper’s design.


The Lider-class carries twelve launchers for 6C80M anti-cruise missiles, which are purposes for the killing-blow the even the Heavy Cruiser within multiple barrage. This a heavy missile armament makes Lider different from other nations’ destroyers, which rely on their evasion speed and a bigger ships support for strike power.
Except this the ship carry much smaller missile launchers for the “common” use against the daily enemy as the pirates or frontier rebels and terrorists.


The ship’s twin 1200-millimetre (47.25 in) axial mass drivers are supplemented by six 125mm Quad Mass Drive Turrets. The system includes a computer control system with electronic and thermal sighting. The guns can be operated in fully automatic mode from the Akula control system, under autonomous control using the turret mounted Gatekeeper sighting system and can also be laid manually. Rate of fire is disputed, but various sources credit the weapon with a cyclic rate of 30–40 rounds per minute per barrel.


The ship has three Rezets CIWS system turrets. The Rezets CIWS system composite the twin-POZ-5i Twin-Beam Laser CIWS emittors with the maximum rate of fire is 15,000 impulses/min, and quad PRO6D countermissile launchers. A CIWS emittors and countermissiles SAMs can be aimed simultaneously to different targets. The CIWS is outfitted with lidar and optical detection and tracking for the close defence, and 360′ dimensional circular scan lidar with possibility of external guidence for the SAM part.

Except the Rezets CIWS system, the ship is equipped by the 26 KRAR-630i PointDef Quad-Flak Turrets, eight Active Laser Blinders and Akula Mk.IX-A “Mishka-A” Counter-EW Suite.


The Project 429501 destroyer is fitted with an electronic countermeasures system and carries a store of 180 Decoys for the six decoy dispensers, model C-OPO-31. He also have the 40 Katran Masterworks “Marionette” Sensor Decoys, which could be used for multiple purposes – the faking of ship signature, a ship’s missile barage or do the reconnaissance. The decoys are capable to guide the ship’s missile or countermissile barrage out of reach of the ship’s sensors as well.


In the original project specifications, the ship should be able to carry up to eight multirole fighters and six support spacecrafts.



The Project 429501 has D/E band space and atmosphere target acquisition lidar, F band surface body search radar, G/H band flight control lidar, I band navigation lidar, and four K band fire-control lidars for the Rezets CIWS.

Passive detectors

The ship has hull-mounted medium- and low-frequency search and attack passive sensor based on the magnetic-particle anomaly detection.


The ship’s propulsion system is based on one dark mater Reactor with support of four fusion reactors. There are six ion engines and two (main and reserve) FTL drives. The ship’s maximum sublight speed is 572,280 km/h, a fuel-economic sublight 83,250 km/h. FTL speed is about 1 ly/h.
