The Baqqiri Stagnate was a short lived period of political instability between the Marcher worlds of the Othman Kingdom, Alexandrian Republic and Grand Archonate of Sadar following the Peripherian intervention in the ongoing civil conflict on Tolea. Beginning in 3411, the Stagnate reached its peak following the official conclusion of Peripherian operations on Tolea in 3412. Decrying the Peripherian League's apparent Imperialism, the Marcher worlds closed their borders to both the Empire of Gaennaan and Ionian League, severing vital links between Marches.

Controversy erupted over the Marcher Worlds refusal to address the aggressive intervention of the Grand Archonate's own military forces during the Dropsite 3-14 Incident and the subsequent Battle of Mograi.

With neither side truly wishing an outright conflict, Peripherian and Baqqiri diplomatic delegations spent the better part of six months attempting to come to some kind of middle ground amidst a military build up among the Marcher Worlds and the Ionian League. On the 14th of December 3412 the Peripherian League and Marcher Worlds signed the Free Worlds Treaty, essentially establishing the quasi-political block of the Free Worlds Triumvirate and guaranteeing the Marches' continued independence and sovereignty.
