The United Star Commonwealth is situated in the Spinward most regions of human colonised space. To its Galactic North is the Star Kingdom of Persica, on its rimward/anti-spinward border is the Intersystem Alliance. Founded on the principles of mutual benefit the worlds of the Commonwealth banded together in 2782 in an effort to foster greater economic growth through free trade as well as form a more resilient resistance to any foreign intervention.
Formed up from a core group of planets mostly within the Geridian Rift region of space but the USC has multiple member worlds both major and minor, within The Symians Verge and Saxton Cluster sectors.
Outwardly the United Star Commonwealth is a moderate nation which values freedom of expression and representation and enjoy a highly automated and high tech life style. However due to the sometimes large cultural differences these values vary across the Commonwealth.

Etymology
The United Star Commonwealth wasnt used as the nations official name until twenty years after the initial founding of the economic cooperation agreement between the worlds of Thompson, Xander and Harrington. Originally known as the Geridian Economic Union after the area of space all three worlds resided in. However once the Termini in Galadan was discovered going to Symians Verge and the system of Gaston a few years later the Economic Union was renamed to the United Stars Commonwealth as new laws and a new central governing body was ratified.
People of the Commonwealth are generally referred to as Wealther's, many believe that it is just a shortening of the term Commonwealther. However the term has deeper roots in the birth of the Commonwealth during a scandal where it came to light that several influential business leaders within the commonwealth were hoarding materials and ships to hide their assets from new tax reviews being brought in by the new central government.
Inwardly the citizens of the United Star Commonwealth have a plethora of nomenclature for the residents of all the different worlds and habitats within its space.
Cartography
The United Star Commonwealth is situated between the Intersystem Alliance and the Star Kingdom of Persica. The Commonwealth is made up of three sphere sectors and currently is home to the spin-ward most colony of Expedition. The Commonwealth claims sovereignty over 30 systems and 26 settled worlds with its Capital within the Galadan System.
The biggest defining feature within Commonwealth space is the Hydrogen-Ammonia Nebula known as Geridians Rift a massive nebula spanning over 50 light years. An extremely caustic region of space that is detrimental to the structural integrity of space going vessels if left exposed for to long without proper shielding. Only a few paths through the nebula are known and even fewer are safe for civilian shipping to pass through. The Nebula effectively acts as a barrier to most shipping.
Geridians Rift
Geridians Rift is the Commonwealths capital sphere. With the system of Galadan sitting right on the tip of the nebula that is the namesake of the sector.
Symians Verge
Symians Verge is the second sphere of space formed by the United Star Commonwealth. Formed in [INSERT YEAR] when the world of Carmine in the Gaston System.
Saxton Cluster
The Saxton Cluster is the most recent area of space explored and claimed by the United Star Commonwealth after a termini connection was found in the Carmine System that lead to the Ivonia System. A binary star system with over 15 planets and Jovians and over 70 moons and planetoids. Other than the system of Ivonia which through the virtue of the Terminii connection to Carmine most worlds in the Saxton cluster are still very early in their development and no major military assets or stations have been assigned to the new sphere at the moment apart from a large United Star Commonwealth Exploration Corps station in the the Expedition system that is serving as the jumping off point for exploration further spinward and within the Saxton cluster proper.

Government
The United Star Commonwealth, officially is a federation of nation states with single head of state known as the Chancellor Elect. Whilst outwardly this seems simple it is complicated by the fact each member worlds is technically independent in its own right and has overall juridisction to enforce its own laws and taxes within its own solar boundaries.
